Dr Vivek Baliga is a Consultant in Internal Medicine and cardiology with an interest in diabetes and cardiovascular disease, particularly heart failure management. He is the co-director of Baliga Diagnostics and also a visiting consultant in internal medicine and cardiology at Aster RV hospital and Fortis Hospital.

Dr Vivek Baliga received his training at Manipal university and furthered this in the United Kingdom where he completed his post graduate training and his doctorate. He then completed his MBA from University of Phoenix, USA. He also holds a post graduate diploma in lipid management from Middlesex university. He has received his Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Foundations Certification from the reputed International Council Of Cardiovascular Prevention And Rehabilitation (ICCPR).

Dr Baliga has completed the post graduate program in Cardiology from Johns Hopkins University and participated in the Advanced Certificate Course in Diabetes from the Cleveland Clinic, USA. Having won an online ‘Echochamp’ contest, he secured a Diploma certificate in echocardiography from University of Vienna and 123sonography.

Dr Vivek Baliga is also the founder of an online educational portal ‘HeartSense’ and is a keen advocate of patient empowerment. He is the former secretary and treasurer of the Indian Academy of Echocardiography, Karnataka. In his spare time, he enjoys running, badminton and spending time with his family.
